Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a Laundry Worker for the Fairlawn campus. The role involves the daily operation of the Laundry Department, handling soiled linens, sorting, stain removal, pressing and ironing, inventory, and equipment maintenance.

Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm. We offer a supportive, nonprofit environment with low staff ratios and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 35-50 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance.
• Dexterity to sort, colorize, fold linens and handle laundering tasks.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walk and stand for long periods while performing duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the Laundry Department.
• Collect soiled linens and assist in sorting and stain removal.
• Pressing and ironing of linens; inventory and stocking.
• Maintain general equipment care and routine maintenance.
