Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn, OH seeks a Floor Care Worker to maintain floors and support housekeeping operations on site. This role involves floor stripping, waxing, refinishing, and occasional assistance with Laundry and Housekeeping tasks.

High School education or equivalent is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, maneuver equipment, and stand for long periods. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. independently and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Possess the necessary dexterity to operate levers, buttons, machinery, etc.
• Possess the ability to bend, stoop and reach at different angles.

• Perform all types of floor care and related tasks, including filling in for Laundry and Housekeeping departments.
• Demonstrates knowledge of floor care, stripping, waxing and refinishing.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the floor care worker is responsible to perform all types of floor care and other related types of work including filling in for the Laundry and Housekeeping Departments. Demonstrates basic knowledge of general floor care, stripping, waxing and refinishing. Able to work independently with little supervision.
