Job summary

The Medical Technologist (MT) at White Mountain Regional Medical Center in Springerville, AZ performs laboratory procedures accurately and promptly under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager.

This safety-sensitive role requires at least six months MT experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, completion of an MT program, MT certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire. The position is full-time nights with benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relate field of studies.
• Completion of certified Medical Technologist program.
• Foreign degree transcripts must be reviewed and accredited if from a foreign university.
• Minimum of six months experience as a Medical Technologist (MT).
• Current MT Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

• Perform laboratory procedures with promptness, accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with the health-care team to support a patient-centered culture.
• Under the Laboratory Manager's direction, apply professional knowledge to complete laboratory procedures.

Job description

The Medical Technologist (MT) is clinical position responsible for performing all Laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner in accordance with applicable standards of care and practice, as well as, in accordance with White Mountain Regional Medical Center and Laboratory Department policies and procedures. Through collaboration with all member of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. Under the direction for the Laboratory Manager, the MT exercises independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to complete Laboratory procedures.

This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in relate field of studies
Completion of certified Medical Technologist program
Note: If the degree is from a foreign university, the candidate must have their transcripts reviewed and accredited by a recognized credential evaluation service before applying.

Required Experience

Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Medical Technologist (MT)

Required Licensees & Certifications

• Current MT Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
