Job summary

King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort is hiring a Kitchen Utility Person for a full-time role on Hawaii Island. You will assist with basic cleaning and transloading of items to banquet and luau areas while helping maintain sanitary storage and service spaces.

One year of experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent, and TB clearance are required. English speaking or bilingual abilities are expected. Enjoy Marriott perks including health coverage, 401(k), PTO and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Responsible for all activities pertaining to cleaning and maintaining the food & beverage storage, preparation and service areas and materials and ensures sanitary condition of all china, glassware, silverware, and cookware and serving utensils.
• Assists with proper food storage and rotation.
• Transfers food items and required dishes to banquet and luau areas and guest plates.
• Performs routine tasks under little or no direct supervision.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
