Friends of Switchpoint is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Prep Cook to join the fast-paced kitchen team. You will perform daily prep, chopping, slicing, mixing, and stocking to ensure smooth operation and high-quality meals.

This role offers stability, a Monday–Friday schedule, and an opportunity to contribute to a nonprofit mission. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a Utah Food Handler's Permit.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Utah Food Handler's Permit.
• Solid understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and stock the kitchen and prep stations before and during service.
• Prepare basic components of menu items, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and making sauces.
• Follow instructions and recipes provided by the kitchen manager and head chef.
• Ensure all food prep and storage areas comply with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, including proper handling of leftovers and waste.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
• Assist in cooking and plating dishes alongside the kitchen team during service.
