Job summary

Acme Hospitality Group seeks a dependable Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare and portion ingredients, set up stations, and work closely with the culinary team to ensure consistent quality and presentation.

Ideal candidates have basic knife skills, food safety knowledge, and the ability to stand for long periods. Flexibility for Wed-Sun AM/PM shifts is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Basic knife skills and ability to safely operate kitchen tools.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn, take direction and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
• Wash, chop, dice vegetables, fruits and other items; measure ingredients.
• Prepare marinades, sauces, dressings and assemble ingredients for dishes.
• Assist with meat, fish and poultry prep; maintain clean work areas.
• Follow food safety procedures, store ingredients correctly and maintain FIFO.
• Set up stations, monitor stock levels, and assist in receiving deliveries.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness of utensils and equipment and follow sanitation rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen leads.
