Job summary

Hammond Lumber Company in Boothbay, Maine, seeks a Full-Time Kitchen & Bath Designer to help customers design, price, and present kitchen and bath projects using 20/20 Design. The role supports detailed drafting, measuring, ordering, and customer collaboration in a fast-paced showroom environment.

The ideal candidate will elicit buyer requirements, prepare proposals and agreements, and coordinate orders while maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Kitchen and Bath design or 20/20 design preferred, but willingness to train the right candidate as well.
• 2 years knowledge of building materials preferred
• Excellent telephone skills preferred
• Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Elicit from customers the information required to draft a kitchen or bathroom according to their specifications.
• Design, draw, price and present accurate estimates and proposals for Kitchen and Bath projects using 20/20 Design.
• Prepare Sales Agreements and Purchase Orders.
• Field measure each project to obtain accurate custom measurements.
• Order all cabinetry, countertops, and accessories as required for each project.
• Maintain open communication with all parties involved in the project and follow up on customer inquiries.
• Comply with company procedures on sales transaction paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
