Job summary

A family in Hillsborough is seeking a dedicated nanny for their 5-month-old baby and occasional care for their almost 3-year-old when he is off preschool. Responsibilities include day-to-day care, planning age-appropriate activities, children's laundry, preparing meals for the children, and driving when needed.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, reliable, and safety-minded, with at least 2 years of private nanny experience, English fluency, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
• English fluency
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle (family will reimburse for mileage and provide car seats)
• Comfortable with parents working from home who enjoy being involved in raising their children
• Collaborative and excellent communication skills
• Self starter; excels at coming up with fun, age appropriate ideas/activities
• Prioritizes children's safety
• Reliable
• Warm and calm but authoritative
• Takes feedback well
• Respectful
• Trustworthy and stable; sound judgment
• Can make a long-term commitment

Responsibilities

• Care for baby including the day-to-day, classes, planning age appropriate activities, etc.
• Provide updates to parents througout the day, discuss development, etc.
• Providing occasional care for 3-year-old when he is off from preschool
• Laundry for the children
• Preparing meals for the children
• Preparing and sanitizing bottles
• Driving / pick ups
• Light tidying (children's bedrooms and play spaces, common areas)
• Occasional evening support/babysitting
