Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to serve Wilkes-Barre, Dallas, Clarks Summit, and surrounding areas. You’ll practice mobile hospice and euthanasia care with time to connect with families, delivering compassionate medicine in homes rather than traditional clinics.

The role offers flexible schedules (2-5 days/week), paid onboarding, mentorship, and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background and motor vehicle record check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Practice medicine with purpose while maintaining work-life balance.
• Collaborate with Lap of Love mentors and practice managers to deliver compassionate care.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Wilkes-Barre, Dallas, Clarks Summit, Glen Summit, Scranton, Dallas, Mountain Top, Pittston, PA and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $85,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends

• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
