Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Full-Time In-Home Veterinarian to join our mobile hospice team serving Stockton, Lodi, Modesto, Manteca, Valley Springs, Oakdale and surrounding areas. This role combines medical excellence with work–life balance, offering in-home pet care rather than traditional clinic shifts.

As a DVM, you’ll provide hospice and euthanasia care with compassion, mentorship, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Weekend availability required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Work across Stockton, Lodi, Modesto, Manteca, Valley Springs, Lathrop, Acampo, Oakdale and nearby areas.
• Deliver compassionate patient care with a focus on comfort and quality of life.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Stockton, Lodi, Modesto, Manteca, Valley Springs, Lathrop, Acampo, Oakdale, CA, and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $107,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $130,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license

• Availability to work some weekends

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance

• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
