Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a full-time in-home veterinarian to serve the South Shore, MA area including Plymouth, New Bedford and nearby towns. The role emphasizes work-life balance, mentorship, and professional autonomy while delivering compassionate hospice and end-of-life care to pets in their homes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Weekend availability and ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check pre- and post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Maintain flexible 2-5 day-per-week scheduling to balance personal and professional life.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in South Shore, MA, including Plymouth, New Bedford, Marshfield, Middleborough, Kingston, Wareham, and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $107,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $130,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
