Job summary

Home Care Alternatives & Loving Hands Home Care in Michigan seeks a dedicated Caregiver to support clients in their homes, helping with daily activities and promoting dignity and independence.

The role requires providing personal care, assisting with mobility, meals, and medication reminders. Hours are 8 am–4 pm, Monday–Friday, plus one weekend shift every other weekend. Candidate must drive clients and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to learn new skills.
• Compassionate and supportive in client care.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare or in-home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or to doctor appointments and walks.
• Assist with personal care, plan and prepare meals, and help with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client shopping or accompany them to shops.
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Offer activities essential for daily living, including assisting with meals.
