Job summary

AllState Career School in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join its faculty. The ideal candidate will teach HVAC/R courses, advise students, and collaborate with the Program Director to support student success.

This is a full-time faculty position reporting to the Program Director. A certificate/diploma in HVAC/R is required, MD license and EPA Universal preferred; three years of full-time field experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an HVAC/R program with certificate or diploma.
• Active Maryland HVACR Journeyman or Master HVACR license.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Three years of full-time HVAC/R experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
• Higher education teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC/R courses as part of the program.
• Manage a teaching load of three courses per term with two or three preparations.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program . This is a full- time , professional position reporting directly to the Program Director . The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses . The typical teaching load is three courses each term, with two or three preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation .

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R Program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
• Certifications/licensure:
  • Active Maryland HVACR Journeyman or Master HVACR license
  • EPA Universal
  • NATE certification is desired but not required
  • HVAC Excellence is desired but not required
• At least three years of full-time experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated , and results - driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required
