Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home.

Flex Houseparents start with nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, and later transition into a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their home. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse, married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driveres license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
