Job summary

Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team. The role supports daily housekeeping and laundry needs to keep spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.

Healthcare experience is not required; experience in housekeeping, laundry, hotel, hospitality, janitorial, custodial, or environmental services is encouraged. This is a full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, laundry, hotel, hospitality, janitorial, custodial, environmental services, or healthcare preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and offices.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and maintain assigned areas.
• Perform resident room and discharge cleaning according to facility standards.
• Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area.
• Restock housekeeping carts and cleaning supplies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete special cleaning projects as needed.
• Safely operate housekeeping and commercial laundry equipment.
• Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a welcoming environment.
