University City Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide for a full-time day shift. The role focuses on keeping resident rooms, common areas, and facilities clean, sanitary, and welcoming to residents, families, and staff.

The position offers daily pay, competitive hourly wages of $13 to $16, and opportunities to contribute to a safe environment through infection control, safe chemical handling, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned duties in accordance with established housekeeping standards, safety guidelines, and infection control practices.
• Clean assigned areas, including resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, nursing stations, handrails, dining rooms, shower rooms, public restrooms, and offices.
• Maintain utility and storage rooms in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment, furnishings, and supplies according to established procedures.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Clean the inside of the resident room windows, door panels, and window sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste materials to designated disposal areas.
• Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, organized manner, stocking necessary supplies at the end of each shift, and ensuring that chemicals not in use remain securely stored.
• Follow all established safety precautions and manufacturer guidelines when handling and using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas of the facility maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.
