The Gurwin Family of Healthcare Services is a renowned healthcare provider located on Long Island, NY, offering a full continuum of services. The Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 460-bed facility providing short-term rehabilitation, long-term skilled nursing care, home care programs, ventilator-dependent care, palliative and hospice care, a Memory Care Unit, and on-site dialysis. Our services also include the 201-apartment Gurwin Jewish Fay J. Lindner Residences assisted living community and the Fountaingate Gardens independent living community.

Our innovative facility and expanding services offer opportunities for career advancement. We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper for our Assisted Living Community, who will embody the passion and commitment to uphold our reputation for excellence in assisted living.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Keeping assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly condition as directed by the Director of Housekeeping and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Cleaning and maintaining resident apartments and common areas.
• Having general cleaning knowledge and prior experience.

Requirements include:

• Experience in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care and related behaviors.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to absorb new work methods.
• Effective scheduling and time management skills.
• Capability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
