Job summary

St. Barnabas Health System is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join St. Barnabas Nursing Home.

This full-time role focuses on cleaning, sanitizing restrooms, common areas, and keeping facilities orderly to support resident comfort and safety. You will work Monday through Friday, daylight shifts, with opportunities for professional development and comprehensive benefits. Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 lbs and communicate in English, while collaborating with a caring team to maintain

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to interact with team members, other staff and residential clientele.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, mopping and disinfecting restrooms daily.
• Daily cleaning to include vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, restrooms, kitchens and removing all trash to outside containers.
• All common areas, daily vacuuming of all carpeted areas, removal of stains, carpet cleaning as needed, mop all tile/hard surfaces daily.
• Must maintain and clean equipment daily to report any repairs to supervisor.
• Attend required in-service education training and staff meetings.
