Job summary

Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with rotating weekend coverage as needed.

You will disinfect rooms and common areas, operate cleaning equipment, and support both Independent Living and Residential Living teams. A high school diploma and clear communication in English are required.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to stand, walk, turn, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash, dust surfaces, vacuum carpets and hallways, mop floors, sanitize frequently touched items.
• Clean specialized areas including bathing facilities, soiled utility rooms, isolation rooms, and discharge rooms.
• Assist with room turnover cleanings and prepare guest rooms, cottages, and community center areas.
• Provide support to Independent Living and Residential Living housekeeping teams, including weekend coverage.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and mops safely and effectively.
• Participate in mandatory in-services and follow safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
