Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In‑Home Associate Veterinarian to serve Trenton, NJ and surrounding areas. This role focuses on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care, enabling veterinarians to work with purpose while enjoying a balanced life outside the clinic.

You will join a community of clinicians with ongoing training, mentorship, and a strong support network, delivering patient‑centered care in the comfort of clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Practice veterinary medicine with purpose while supporting client and patient well‑being.
• Join a supportive team with mentorship and ongoing training.

• Salary Range — 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in the Trenton, NJ area. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $117,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $140,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
