Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in San Diego, CA is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to join our mobile hospice and euthanasia team. Practice medicine with purpose, while enjoying flexibility and work‑life balance.

You will be part of a supportive network with ongoing mentorship, comprehensive onboarding, and a transparent compensation structure including base salary, bonuses, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Operate as a mobile veterinarian serving the San Diego area.

• Veterinarian Salary Range 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑day full‑time opportunities are available in the San Diego, CA area. Compensation varies based on schedule structure: 4‑day positions start at $117,500; 5‑day positions offer a base salary of $140,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3‑day full‑time and part‑time opportunities are also available and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.
