Department: Food & Beverage

Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager
Status:Hourly Non-Exempt
Compensation Range:$20.00-24.00/hour, commensurate with experience and education.

Age Requirements: Must be 21+


Role Summary:
This individual assists the Food & Beverage Leadership team in planning and oversight of the Food & Beverage outlets (Che Figata, Arista Coffee & Cafe, Zorba and In-Room Dining) in order to achieve guest satisfaction and quality service standards while meeting and exceeding financial goals.


Responsibilities:

1. Supports the F&B Leadership Team in developing operational guidelines.

2. Communicates expectations, coordinates between departments, and enforces policies and procedures among F&B staff.

3. Assists in controlling costs by observing food and beverage preparations and portion control while ensuring high quality presentations.

4. Coaches and mentors F&B staff with personal involvement in day-to-day operations.

5. Ensures that all designated action points from daily briefings and bi-monthly operational meetings are being implemented and followed.

6. Completes detailed checks of the entire Food and Beverage operation during all service periods, taking necessary actions to correct any deviation from quality standards.

7. Organizes and conducts pre-shift and departmental meetings.

8. Assists with the creation and development of community outreach and marketing plans to penetrate new sales opportunities and maximize use within existing markets

9. Conducts ongoing training programs for new and existing associates.

10. Coordinates with the F&B, Sales, and Convention Services team for group events

11. Organizes special events in the restaurant.

12. Checks for food quality and service consistency.

13. Assists with the inventories for the F&B liquor control.

14. Provides a positive, empowering, and productive work environment through setting an example and consistency of daily work habits and standards.

15. Instructs new hires and associates on the expectations and responsibilities for each of their roles.

16. Interacts positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services.

17. Acts as the Manager on Duty for F&B as needed.

18. Analyzes, investigates, and resolves guest complaints and escalates issues as needed to the F&B Managers.

19. Monitors inventory levels and ensures the proper reporting of spillage, breakage and loss.

20. Ensures team follows all aspects of the Alcohol Policy.

21. Communicating to upper management about daily needs through shift reports.

22. Completes all end of day reporting according to standard.

Education

  • College graduate or equivalent work experience
  • ServSafe certification required

Experience

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill job duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
