The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Cherokee Mental Health Institute (CMHI) is seeking a Laundry Worker 1. This is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. schedule.

This role provides laundry and housekeeping services for CMHI and CCUSO, supporting inpatient psychiatric care and daily facility operations. Applicants may undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• No specific education or experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle laundry: sort, load, run machines, dry, record temperatures and usage, monitor chemicals.
• Housekeeping: sweep, mop, dust, clean bathrooms and fixtures, dispose trash, move furniture as needed.
