Care Initiatives is hiring a Laundry Aide to support our healthcare communities in Iowa. You will handle clothing, linens, and facility laundry while following safety and infection control guidelines, ensuring items are clean, labeled, and returned promptly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Prior laundry experience required.
• Passion for providing excellent care to long-term residents.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry according to procedures.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and in accordance with infection prevention and safety guidelines.
• Ensure clothing and linens are clean, labeled, and returned promptly to the correct areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and handle soiled items properly.
• Follow schedules and task lists to support daily operations and facility needs.
• Work cooperatively with team members to support resident comfort and facility cleanliness.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff to create a caring environment.
