Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring full-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers to clean and maintain patient care areas.Shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, 5:00pm-1:30am, 11:00pm-7:30am. Hourly pay is $16.50 with a $500 sign-on bonus paid in three increments.Duties include cleaning rooms, corridors, restrooms, and lounges; restocking supplies and transporting small equipment; and complying with vaccination and background screening requirements.

Qualifications

• COVID-19 vaccination required unless exempt
• Experience in janitorial/medical cleaning is a plus
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and other work areas.
• Sweep and vacuum floors; dust furniture and equipment.
• Replenish bathroom supplies; transport trash to disposal area.
• Transport small equipment between departments.

Job Overview:

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Xanitos may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities, client requirements and applicable industry standards.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebasket and Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

Job Qualifications:

• Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment unless they request and are granted a medical or religious exemption.
• Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
• Medical cleaning a plus

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
