Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service or healthcare is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must obtain Safe Food Handler Certification within 7 days of hire.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, portioning, and delivery of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
• Collaborate with dietary and clinical teams to meet patient nutritional needs and care plans.
• Participate in special event food service as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and patient rights.
