Job summary

The Homecare Company of Tennessee in Maynardville, TN is seeking 2 full-time Personal Care Assistants (PCA) for dayshift (7a-7p). Location is Maynardville, TN 37807. Pay range is $15-17/hour.

As a PCA, you will provide non-medical, hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, supporting clients to promote safety, comfort, and independence. You will work under the supervision of an RN and contribute to compassionate, professional home care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Support mobility needs, including transferring, positioning, and ambulation assistance as directed by the RN.
• Provide assistance with feeding and hydration in accordance with client care plans.
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse immediately.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary environment, such as laundry, dusting, dishwashing, and changing linens.
• Assist with meal preparation following dietary guidelines provided by the RN or client’s physician.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their overall well-being.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments, if approved and assigned.
• Accurately document care provided and client observations in daily visit notes.
• Communicate effectively with the supervising nurse, care team members, and family members as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
