Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team. You will utilize your clinical expertise to assess, teach, and deliver therapy interventions directed by the physician as per the home health plan of care.

This role offers schedule flexibility, allowing for one-on-one patient care. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient well-being, ensuring quality care in a safe and independent living environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy according to the physician’s plan of care.
• Communicate regularly with patients and caregivers regarding the plan of care.
• Report observations of the patient’s condition to supervisors and physicians.
• Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation and adaptation techniques.
• Record clinical notes to ensure continuity of patient care.
