Job summary

Personal Touch Home Care in Queens and Long Island seeks a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality home-based care for pediatric and adult clients.

The SLP will evaluate and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in patients at home, develop personalized treatment plans, collaborate with other health professionals, and document progress.

Candidates must hold NY SLP license and have strong communication and organizational skills; home care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Speech Language Pathologist license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Home care experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with pediatric, adult, special needs, or geriatric populations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing issues such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy.
