Job summary

Butler Technology and Career Development School in Monroe is seeking a Substitute High School Science Instructor to teach science courses to 10th–12th graders at the Natural Science Center.

The instructor will cover Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science in a department of one, on a full-time substitute basis from December 2026 through May 2027, with a permanent position posted separately for the 2027-28 school year.

Qualifications

• Ohio license covering Science grades 10–12 (Integrated/Comprehensive) required.
• Willingness to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team.
• Proficiency with computers and technology relevant to teaching.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach science to 10th–12th grade students at Butler Tech Monroe campus.
• Instruct across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.
• Collaborate with staff to support student learning and safety policies.
• Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
