Job summary

Home Work Staffing is seeking an experienced full-time nanny in Chevy Chase, MD to care for a newborn and a toddler. The role starts when the baby arrives in spring 2027 and requires Hebrew language or strong knowledge of Jewish traditions.

Expect 40 hours per week with Monday–Friday schedule and potential for longer-term placement. The family prioritizes Hebrew language and Jewish cultural traditions at home; candidates should be able to speak Hebrew or possess strong knowledge of these customs

Qualifications

• Proven professional nanny experience with newborns and infants.
• Experience caring for toddlers is a plus.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (infant/child).

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing full-time care for a newborn, including feeding, diapering, bathing, soothing and safe sleep practices.
• Support healthy newborn routines and developmental milestones, keeping parents informed with daily updates.
• Care for the toddler before and after preschool, including drop-off and pick-up as needed.
• Engage the children in age-appropriate play, language development and early learning.
• Speak Hebrew with the children and support Jewish cultural traditions, holidays and customs in the home.
• Handle child-related household tasks, including baby laundry, bottle and nursery upkeep, meal prep for the children, and keeping play areas tidy.
• Keep a calm, consistent and loving environment that follows the family’s parenting approach.
