Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Municipality of Anchorage Food Handlers’ Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days.
• Knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients with food item selection on the tray line.
• Communicates issues to cooks regarding quality/quantity of food.
• Maintain cleanliness on the line during service.
• Restock cold food items such as salads, desserts and fruit.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cafeteria.
• Stock storage areas with products and rotate stock.
• Washes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and keeps areas organized.
• Unloads freight to designated storage areas including racks and coolers.
• Adheres to sanitation regulations set by Federal, State, and local agencies.
