Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring for a full-time Floor Technician at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA. This role covers floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment, with an opportunity for day and night shifts. Schedule: 7:30 am–4:00 pm and 9:00 pm–5:30 am; days may vary.

Prior floor care experience is required, with lifting up to 50 lbs. Online applications are accepted only. Pay range: $18.00–$19.00 per hour.

• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
