Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Proactively recommend products and services to customers.
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers.
• Move throughout the checkout area to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer questions and guide them through store projects.
• Express sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicate product, warranty, and store program information.
• Train and coach associates in departmental duties.
• Process sales, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
• Support front-end team with supervision and coaching.
• Handle security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers as needed.
• Assist in line vesting to improve checkout efficiency.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end.
• Inspect returned merchandise.
• Enter customer orders and verify receipts.
• Manage online orders and returns.
• Verify prices and record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and security measures.
• Assist with security and theft prevention.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure a safe working environment, including safety reviews and hazard reporting.
• Operate store equipment as required.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computer use.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
• Experience as a head cashier.
• Experience working in Lowe’s or supervisory roles.
• Experience detecting shoplifting.
