Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
- Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
- Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers simultaneously.
- Move around the checkout area performing standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service consistently, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Assist customers with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects as needed.
- Show sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicate product and service information, including warranties and features.
- Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
- Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
- Handle cash accurately and support front-end team members.
- Assist with removing security tags, verifying product info, and bagging merchandise.
- Answer and direct phone calls appropriately.
- Open additional registers when needed to ensure efficient checkout.
- Assist in line vesting to improve checkout turnaround times.
In-stock
- Prepare the register area at shift start and end, ensuring functionality and supplies.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Enter and submit customer orders, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
- Manage online orders and returned merchandise.
- Check product prices and verify price matches.
- Record store use items.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitor cash and obtain safety bags from the cash office.
- Oversee merchandise entering and leaving, assisting with alarms.
- Detect signs of shoplifting and security risks, reporting promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Operate store equipment as needed based on role.
General
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computer use (inputting, accessing, modifying, outputting information).
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology (smartphones, tablets).
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in product sales, including credit cards, protection plans, warranties, and features.
- Experience as a head cashier.
- Experience working in Lowe’s or similar retail departments.
- Supervisory experience, including training and coaching employees.
- Experience detecting shoplifting signs.
