Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
  • Proactively approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
  • Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to complete transactions.
  • Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
  • Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate product, warranty, and service information effectively.
  • Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Process sales, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
  • Handle cash accurately and support front-end team members.
  • Assist with security tag removal, product verification, and bagging merchandise.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls.
  • Open additional registers as needed for customer flow.
  • Assist with line vesting for quicker checkout.
In-stock
  • Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and restock supplies.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Manage customer orders, verify receipts, and load merchandise.
  • Review and process online orders and returns.
  • Verify prices and look up product information for price matching.
  • Record store use items.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
  • Observe store entrances/exits for security and assist with alarms.
  • Detect shoplifting and communicate risks to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization per safety standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
  • Operate store equipment as required by role.
General
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
  • 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and explaining product features and warranties.
  • Experience as a head cashier or in a Lowe's store.
  • Supervisory experience including training and coaching employees.
  • Experience in shoplifting detection.
