Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out:
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
• Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services.
• Proactively greets, assists, and engages with customers on multiple registers.
• Moves throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate transactions.
• Thanks customers and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service:

• Provides excellent customer service, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Responds promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
• Communicates product and service information effectively.
• Trains and supports associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Handles monetary exchanges accurately and supports front-end team.
• Removes security tags, verifies product info, bags merchandise, and answers phone calls.
• Opens additional registers as needed and assists with line management.

In-stock:

• Prepares register area at shift start/end, checks equipment, and stocks supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Processes customer orders, verifies receipts, and manages online returns.
• Looks up product info and price matches.
• Records store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores:

• Monitors cash and security measures, detects shoplifting, and reports risks.
• Maintains store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Operates store equipment as required by role.

General:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and supervisory roles.
• Experience with shoplifting detection.
