Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
  • Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers.
  • Move throughout the checkout area performing standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transactions are completed accurately.
  • Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Provide excellent customer service according to Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects if needed.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate product information, including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties.
  • Train, coach, and develop associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Use the cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds following company guidelines.
  • Provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates.
  • Support and coach the CSA Front End Team.
  • Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct or take messages as needed.
  • Open additional registers as necessary to maintain coverage.
  • Assist in line vesting to expedite checkout processes.
In-stock
  • Prepare the register area at shift start and end, ensuring functionality and stocking supplies.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Enter and submit customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign off on loading tickets.
  • Review and process online orders and returns.
  • Verify prices and look up product info for price matching.
  • Record store use items on the appropriate lists.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Obtain safety bags and monitor cash in registers.
  • Monitor store entrances/exits, assist with alarms, and detect security risks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization following safety standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and addressing hazards.
  • Operate store equipment as needed based on role.
General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year of experience with computers.
  • Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
  • 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs analysis.
  • Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe's store departments.
  • Supervisory experience including training and coaching.
  • Experience in shoplifting detection.
