Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
- Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
- Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
- Move around the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service in accordance with Lowe's policies.
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer questions.
- Show genuine appreciation to customers.
- Communicate product and warranty information effectively.
- Train and coach team members in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
- Use cash registers to process transactions, returns, and refunds.
- Handle cash accurately and support front-end team.
- Support security measures, such as removing tags and verifying products.
- Answer and direct phone calls appropriately.
- Open additional registers when needed to ensure efficient checkout.
- Assist with line vesting to improve checkout speed.
In-stock
- Prepare register area at shift start and end, checking equipment and supplies.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Process customer orders and verify receipts.
- Manage online orders and returns appropriately.
- Verify prices and perform price matching.
- Record store item usage.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitor cash levels and obtain safety bags.
- Oversee store entrances/exits and assist with security alarms.
- Detect and report shoplifting or security risks.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
- Operate store equipment as needed.
General
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, with or without accommodations.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
- Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments.
- Supervisory experience including coaching and training employees.
- Experience detecting shoplifting.
