Essential Functions:

NOTE: Minors in this role may not be responsible for some activities listed below.

• Assisted Self Check Out
• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Proactively recommend products and services to customers.
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers across registers.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products.
• Thank customers and invite them back.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service following Lowe’s policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating and demonstrating merchandise, and answer questions promptly.
• Show appreciation to customers and communicate product information effectively.
• Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
• Support front-end team with supervision, coaching, and support.
• Handle security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct incoming calls.
• Open additional registers as needed and assist with line management.

In-stock

• Prepare the register area at shifts’ start and end.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Enter and verify customer orders, print tickets, and sign off on loading.
• Review and manage online orders and returned merchandise.
• Verify prices and record store use items.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash in registers and security alarms.
• Detect shoplifting and communicate security risks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of store and work areas.
• Ensure safety compliance and operate store equipment as required.

General

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, cashiering, supervisory roles, and shoplifting detection.
