Job summary

The Grounds Crew Member at Lake Ridge Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA, will maintain the golf course grounds, assist with landscaping, mowing, irrigation, and general upkeep to provide an excellent experience for members and guests.

As an associate of Troon, you will work full-time on a team of golf maintenance professionals, following safety guidelines and maintaining clean, organized work areas while learning course operations and seasonal maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
• Ability to create spray programs for greens, tees, fairways, roughs and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs irrigation system, pipes and heads as needed.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
