Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to treat residents and short-term patients at our Arbrook Plaza facility in Arlington, Texas. The role requires Texas licensure and involves developing care plans, performing skilled treatments, and documenting patient progress.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for COTA.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
• Demonstrates time management and organization.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Successful completion of hiring process / background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops overall therapy plan of care to include treatment and medical diagnosis warranting skilled intervention, planned duration and frequency, and measurable discharge goals.
• Therapists of all disciplines perform skilled treatments according to the established plan of care.
• Documents observations, patient responses to interventions, progress, and notable changes within set timeframes.
• Completes all documentation timely and in accordance with state and federal regulations and policies/guidelines.
• Completes all billing required on the date of the provided skilled services, in accordance with all regulations.
