Job description

Customer Service

  1. Provides excellent customer service by following Lowe’s policies, procedures, and programs.
  2. Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  3. Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects as needed.
  4. Shows genuine appreciation to customers.
  5. Communicates information about stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
  6. Participates in cross-training in other store areas to enhance customer service.
  7. Manages calls effectively to meet customer and associate needs.
  8. Reviews schedules to ensure proper staffing and coverage, arranging backups as necessary.
  9. Collaborates with the PRO team to meet service expectations for Pro Fulfillment.
  10. Prepares and verifies delivery, pro, installation, and pickup orders.
  11. Follows up on order quality issues with leadership.
  12. Monitors notifications to maintain service standards during customer interactions and order submissions.
  13. In-Stock Operations
  14. Uses Lowe’s systems to manage inventory, orders, and special requests.
  15. Conducts inventory and fulfillment area walks to monitor status.
  16. Reports on fulfillment area status via various communication channels.
  17. Acts as a liaison between Pro and fulfillment departments to ensure timely order processing.
  18. Ensures timely picking and staging of all orders.
  19. Prepares merchandise for customers, contractors, and deliveries, verifying accuracy and safety.
  20. Performs supplemental fulfillment tasks as needed.
  21. Store Cleanliness and Safety
  22. Completes administrative tasks related to delivery and pickup, including audits and customer contact.
  23. Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
  24. Organizes merchandise and maintains store cleanliness.
  25. Detects and reports security risks such as shoplifting.
  26. Maintains safety standards, conducts safety reviews, and secures the store environment.
  27. Operates store equipment safely, obtaining necessary certifications for forklifts and related machinery.
  28. Performs other duties as assigned.
