Job summary

Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring for a full-time Fresh Cut Produce Associate to join the Collegeville team. The role offers full-time, 40 hours per week with one weekend shift required, on a Tue-Sat schedule within a 6:30am-8:30pm window.

• Ability to slice, weigh and label produce.
• Maintain inventory levels and accurate pricing.
• Rotate produce using FIFO.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Slicing of whole fruits and vegetables, packaging, weighing and labeling of cut produce containers
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and sold
• Completes all necessary sanitation standards within Fresh Cut areas of produce department
• Rotating fresh produce on a first-in first-out basis.
• Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the department
• Working in collaboration with the Produce Department head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday set schedule. Mix of opening and closing shifts. Shifts are within a 6:30am-8:30pm timeframe.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.

Physical Capabilities

• Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
