Job summary

Openwork is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator in Canton, GA to safely move, stage, and manage palletized materials using sit-down propane and electric forklifts. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to OSHA standards within a modern warehouse environment.

You will perform pre-shift checks, manage inventory with RF scanners and WMS, and contribute to efficient loading/unloading of trailers while using extended/tapered forks as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license is required.
• 1-2 years' experience operating sit-down forklifts in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution settings.
• Familiarity with extended/tapered fork attachments, RF scanners, and WMS is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts to move, stage, load, and unload palletized materials.
• Perform daily pre-shift safety and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
• Accurately load and unload various types of freight trailers and place stock in high-bay racking systems.
• Utilize RF scanners and WMS platforms for inventory tracking.
• Use specialized attachments, including extended and tapered forks.
• Adhere to OSHA workplace safety rules and load-handling procedures.
