Job summary

Chewy is hiring a Forklift Operator at its Sun Valley, NV fulfillment center. You will load, unload, label, and move product using PIT equipment, and help ensure accurate order fulfillment and safe loading.

This full-time, non-exempt role includes wage progression, benefits starting at hire, and opportunities for advancement within a fast-growing team.

Candidates must be at least 18, able to read and follow safety procedures, and lift up to 70 pounds; training on equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reads, writes, and speaks English to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds with or without assistance.
• Willing to be trained on PIT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Labeling, replenishing, box making, loading/unloading trailers, moving stock with PIT equipment.
• Fulfill and coordinate orders to ensure accurate and timely customer deliveries.
• Prepare shipping documentation for domestic shipments.
• Operate powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move product to storage and staging areas.

What you’ll do:

• Labeling, replenishing, box making, loading/unloading trailers, moving stowed product to various locations using a Forklift, etc.
• Fulfilling and coordinating orders to ensure customer delivery process is efficient and accurate.
• Crafting accurate shipping documentation for domestic shipments.
• Safely and efficiently operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and material handling equipment to receive or transport product to storage and staging locations.

What you’ll need:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• This role requires the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to understand and follow safety procedures, interpret work instructions, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Understand and adhere to our safety guidelines and procedures.
• Willing to be trained on PIT equipment e.g., Reach Truck, Order Pick, Dock Stocker, Turret Truck, Double Walkie Rider, Walkie Stacker, Movexx/Amigo.

Physical job requirements:

• Walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
• Rarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
• Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.
• Climb up and down stairs (where applicable).
