Job summary

Grandfather Mountain is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Attendant to deliver welcoming service across our dining areas. You will greet guests, take orders, help with food preparation and cash handling, and work to ensure every guest has a positive experience.

This role requires teamwork in a fast-paced setting, reliability to maintain a year-round schedule including weekends and holidays, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier, customer service, restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.

• Be dependable and willing to learn a variety of food and beverage duties.

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Food & Beverage attendant is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service while helping create a positive experience for every guest. This position supports the daily operation of food and beverage areas through guest service, order taking, food preparation, cash handling, cleaning, stocking, and other duties as needed.

Team members should be dependable, welcoming, and willing to assist wherever needed to maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for guests and coworkers.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• This position requires the ability to:
• Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Stand and/or walk for approximately 75% of the workday.
• Perform repetitive tasks associated with food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and guest service.
• Work around commercial food service equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Work in varying environmental conditions that may include heat, cold and inclement weather.
