Millennium Therapy in Waverly, IA is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. The PTA will support resident care, perform screens, collect data, and assist with treatment under supervision of a licensed PT.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an APTA accredited program and Professional Licensure in the state of hire or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Utilizes effective time management skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Screens, data collection, and direct treatment under supervision as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Participates in the clinical team process.
• Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff and participates in clinical program development.
• Collects assessment data as part of the evaluation process as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Prepares treatment materials and assists with other clerical duties as directed.
