Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You’ll reside in on-campus student homes, supervise a group of 8–13 students, and support their academic, emotional, and social development.

The job starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule, with transition to a Placed Houseparent role over time. Both spouses must apply separately and meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Two-person couple role for legally married spouses.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
