Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment to aid academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially, couples work a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential placement into a dedicated home with the same students.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for youth or volunteering with youths.
• Two-person, legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Able to participate in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.

Skills
